Laser Cleaning and Cutting
Recent advancements have allowed for the use of lasers in a variety of applications and are often both more cost-effective and safer. A high-energy laser beam quickly removes rust, paint, contaminants, and residues while leaving the substrate untouched. Laser cleaning is more eco-friendly and energy-efficient than traditional cleaning methods like sandblasting, dry ice blasting, and other abrasive blasting techniques, and also completes the job in half the time. Large format installations are available that can even be integrated into an existing production line, or smaller handheld units are available. Available wattage starting at 50W all the way up to 4 KW.
There are several other applications for lasers besides cleaning. Laser cutting machines can offer precision parts fabrication, intricate cutting, and more while using a variety of materials like aluminum, sheet metal, coated & plated metals, and even titanium. Laser engraving creates a permanent 3D image in the part, offering enhanced image detailing that traditional engraving tools cannot match. Laser marking is also available, especially useful for the creation of barcodes that are easily readable with a mobile phone scanner.
